“Waking up this morning, I smile.
Twenty-four brand new hours are before me.
I vow to live fully in each moment
and to look at all beings with eyes of compassion.”
Thich Nhat Hanh
I hope this finds you well and enjoying these 24 brand new hours.
It was lovely to spend Mother's Day with those of you who were able to be with us. Such beautiful sharing as we enjoyed the chanting of the raindrops on the roof.
As we announced at the meeting, the gathering this coming Sunday will be at the West home at 6 PM. (directions below) There will be sitting/walking/sitting meditation, sharing the next chapter of "The Art of Living" and a sharing of the Dharma. I hope you will be able to be there.
Update on Laura...
Thank you all for your generosity. You are Bodhisattvas! We were able to get some summer clothes for Laura...and have more funds for when we become aware of other needs she has. We just saw her and she has had yet another fall. She seemed to be in good spirits, but experiencing some pain.
We are living in tumultuous times...it's always good to unplug and enjoy some silence. Perhaps you would like to unplug and enjoy some silence for a little while....it's bliss!
In the meantime, whatever you are doing, I hope you will be enjoying every moment.
with much love and lots of joy for you,
DIRECTIONS TO THE WEST HOME
We live about 2 miles from URI. From rt 138, go north onto Old North Rd. (across the street from big sign ““Kingston Hill Store Books Used and Rare””. Also, just a smidge west of the 138/108 traffic light). Old North Rd starts off as a one way, continues on as a two way street, and finally ends as a T. You will see our corner property from there. Go left at the T (Old North Rd meets Stoneyfort Rd), and then a quick right onto Plantation Dr. We are the first home on the right (2nd driveway is easiest). Come on in the side door (porch/kitchen)!
