Happy Easter, Happy Passover

Dear Friends,

I hope you are all well and enjoying these brand new hours.

This is a wonderful weekend. There is so much wholesome energy being generated all over the world. It is a most sacred time for Christians and Jews. Passover and Easter falling at the same time along with a beautiful full blue moon. Whatever you choose to celebrate, it is a beautiful time to rejoice and enjoy with family and friends. And even though I understand that an April snow is expected, we know that mother nature is determinedly having her way...the crocus, daffodils, etc. are coming through!

This is just a brief reminder that there will be a gathering this evening at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of South County on North Rd in Peace Dale at 6 PM. There will be a sitting meditation and Clare will facilitate. The focus will be on Easter and Passover through the lens of our practice. I hope you will be able to attend.

I am sorry to say that I will not be able to be with you. I have been hospitalized since last Saturday and I am even sorrier to say that it seems that the cancer has re-emerged in my abdomen. The extent and the possibilities for treatment have not yet been determined. I have been very ill and have low energy. So it has been an extremely challenging time for Richard and me. We are practicing "Don't know mind".

I know that many of you have been anxious to know what is going on (so have we!) I am sorry to not have more to share, but I don't want to be passing news of which I am not certain. I will keep you posted when anything becomes clear.

We deeply appreciate all of your love, care and concern and prayers. It is very moving that many of you would like to help. You are such sweet Bodhisattvas! Right now there is nothing much to do. Down the line there may very well be lots of opportunities to help us. We will let you know. your well wishes are appreciated, I apologize for not being able to respond.

In the meantime, please do all you can to deepen your practice and support the Sangha.....and.....please continue to hold us in your prayers and in your hearts and send metta. We feel so blessed to have you in our lives.

with all my love and the miracles of this season of freedom, rebirth and resurrection for you, Joanne
