4-17-15 Sangha Update and Venue change for this Sunday!!!

They're Back!!!!!

“The world is exploding in emerald, sage, and lusty chartreuse - neon green with so much yellow in it. It is an explosive green that, if one could watch it moment by moment throughout the day, would grow in every dimension.” Amy Seidl

“Spring work is going on with joyful enthusiasm.” John Muir

“The alchemist was dazed and dumbfounded, as the true meaning of the magic was revealed: *The dead will rise from glade to glen and ancient will be young again*. The dead had, after all, risen. From dead and dry things there was growth, and new life everywhere. And the endlessly long winter had at last turned to spring. From life to death and back again to life. It was indeed the greatest magic in the world.” Lauren Oliver

Dear Friends,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the emergence of this magnificent springtime.

This is just a reminder that there will be a gathering this Sunday...but it will be at the home of Cindy and John West at 6 PM. Thank you, Cindy and John! Directions are below. There will be sitting/walking/sitting meditation and looking together at Thay's book, "Reconciliation" and a sharing of the Dharma. I hope you will be able to make it.

This is also a reminder that this is the third Saturday and  there will be an OI/Aspirant  gathering at the Bell Street Chapel at 10 AM to recite the Fourteen Mindfulness Trainings and share the Dharma. This is open to all who are interested in deepening their practice. We are practicing with the Fifth of the five trainings. I hope that that has been fruitful for you. It has for me. I have been doing my best to be mindful about guarding the 6 gates of my consciousness....before taking in things...considering my body and mind and noticing any tension, habit energy that is alive....breathing deeply 3 times and calming myself before proceeding. It has been very fruitful. The  Radiant Bell Sangha meets from 8-9:30 AM and all are welcome to practice with them before our meeting.

I am sorry that I have ben out of reach. We had some difficulties with Verizon while in Canada and had no connectivity. So deepest apologies for my unresponsiveness. We are back in the US now, so that has been resolved!

I hope to be with you soon, and in the meantime, I hope that you are enjoying every single moment of this springtime!

with much love and the energy of a spring peeper for you, Joanne

We live about 2 miles from URI.  From rt 138, go north onto Old North Rd.  (across the street from  big sign ““Kingston Hill Store  Books  Used and Rare””.  Also, just a smidge west of the 138/108 traffic light).  Old North Rd starts off as a one way, continues on as a two way street, and finally ends as a T.  You will see our corner property from there.  Go left at the T (Old North Rd meets Stoneyfort Rd), and then a quick right onto Plantation Dr.  We are the first home on the right (2nd driveway is easiest).  Come on in the side door (porch/kitchen)!
