3-7-15 Sangha Update

Choose Love!
“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.”
Dear Friends,
I hope you are all well and happy and enjoying this wintertime.
We just returned from the Day of Mindfulness in Franklin, MA. we wanted to thank all of the members of the Path of Peace Sangha who created conditions for us to come together. It was a beautiful day.
This is a reminder that we will be gathering tomorrow evening at the home of Cindy and John West at 6 PM.(directions below.) There will be sitting/walking meditation, we will be continuing with Thay's book,"Reconciliation". and we will share the Dharma. I hope you will be able to be with us.
Some of you have probably met Bill Menza, a wonderful Dharma Teacher in our Order. He is also a wonderful friend and practitioner. He had emergency surgery yestrday for stageIV lung and bone cancer. Please send him good energy. and hold him in you prayers and send love and healing energy his way.
Please remember that you can register for the Aldersgate Retreat at joannefriday.com. Thanks to Ellen for making the registration materials available and to the entire RI of Mindfulness Community for all of the love and care that have gone into the organizing of the retreat. I hope you will be able to be with us.
Please also remember that Cindy now has the google group up and running....thank you, Cindy!
If you would like to be a part of it, please contact Cindy at westnest5@verizon.net It's a wonderful way for Sangha members to communicate with each other...organize carpools, etc. Right now, Cindy is inviting people to hear Joseph Goldstein as part of the Contrmplative Studies program on Friday 13th
I hope you will be able to be with us soon.
with much love and many hugs,
We live about 2 miles from URI.  From rt 138, go north onto Old North Rd.  (across the street from  big sign ““Kingston Hill Store  Books  Used and Rare””.  Also, just a smidge west of the 138/108 traffic light).  Old North Rd starts off as a one way, continues on as a two way street, and finally ends as a T.  You will see our corner property from there.  Go left at the T (Old North Rd meets Stoneyfort Rd), and then a quick right onto Plantation Dr.  We are the first home on the right (2nd driveway is easiest).  Come on in the side door (porch/kitchen)!
