Peace, Joy and Love for You
I hope this finds you happy, warm and cozy....and enjoying the gift of gratitude for this lifetime, being a part of this glorious cosmos and having the good fortune to have loving, kind and caring people (each other) in our lives.
As for myself, I am feeling very grateful for having spent the last year practicing with all of you. I hope that it has helped you to be freer and happier...it has certainly done that for me.
I wanted to let you know that the Van Horn's are not able to host the Sangha this coming Sunday. Phyllis and Al have been kind enough to offer to host at their home. Their address and contact info is below.
I have also included info and registration forms for the Day of Mindfulness in January. I hope that many of you will join us. There are a number of folks from other states who would like to be with us. If any of you who live near Providence could offer a room for the Friday evening - January 23rd - it would be wonderful if we could offer accommodations to our friends. Please let me know if you have space.
In closing, I would like to offer you a metta prayer for creating peace and joy and continuing to create a beloved community in our new year ....
May each of us who wants peace on earth Make a commitment to transform the anger, hatred and violence in our own hearts. May each of us who wants a world without conflict Make a commitment to resolve, in our own lives, all conflicts however small. May each of us who wants peace on earth and every child to be safe and happy Make a commitment to help those parents we know who are struggling May each of us who wants peace on earth Make a commitment to work for justice - without justice for all there cannot be true peace for any. May each of us who wants peace on earth Make a commitment to do our best to relieve suffering wherever we find it. May each of us who yearns for peace Make a commitment to expand our capacity for love, compassion and understanding for ourselves, each other and the planet. May each of us who wants to live in peace Awaken to the interdependent nature of all that is and realize that happiness is not an individual matter. May all beings truly be peace so that the awakened, beloved community can become a reality on earth
with much love and gratitude for each of you, Joanne
