6-14-14 Sangha Update

A tulip for you and all of the fathers that made our lives possible.....tulips and fathers...both more amazing than anything we can imagine!

When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years. Mark Twain

Dear Friends,

I hope this finds you well and in amazement at this beautiful garden of earthly delights in which we live and grateful for the fathers who gave us life.

There will be a gathering this Sunday evening at our home at 6 PM. We will have sitting meditation, outdoor walking meditation(weather permitting), There will be a short talk and we will share the Dharma. I hope you will be able to be with us.

This from Ann Galkowski...a couple of days ago....please keep Ann and her mother in your prayers and in your hearts...you can send love in a note to amski1965@yahoo.com

My mother fell this afternoon... Dragged herself 80 feet, pulled herself onto couch after getting her own ice. I was due to come in a couple hours and she didn't want to bother anyone... She probably broke her wrist and maybe pelvis/hip as well. Please send her healing energy. Thanks and love to all/ healing to all who need it. Ann

Also, please continue to hold my father in your prayers. He is still in the hospital.

The Radiant Bell Sangha is sponsoring a Day of Mindfulness at the New Dawn Earth Center,75 Wrentham Rd. Cumberland, RI on June 28th from 12 to 4pm. We will enjoy sitting and walking meditation, I will give a short talk and we will be walking theLabyrinth. The focus for the day will be Loving the Earth. The New Dawn Earth Center is an ecological education center run by the Sisters of Mercy. Please bring a brown bag lunch. There are picnic tables and rest rooms as well as lovely meditative walking trails through the woods. The Sisters of Mercy who sponsor the center on their motherhouse grounds are welcoming us free of charge so, if you are able, there will be an opportunity to make a donation to help them in this work. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate. If it rains we will have to try another time maybe at the end of summer or early fall. It will be wonderful to have the opportunity for our Mindfulness Community to be together in this lovely setting.
