8-14-13 Sangha Update

Clouds come, clouds go, but the mind is a clear blue sky! Mr. Rogers quote from Robert Rosa

Every thought you produce, anything you say, any action you do, it is your poem, it bears your signature.

Thich Nhat Hanh

Dear Friends, I hope you are well, enjoying this bright blue sky day, creating beautiful poetry and bringing joy to everyone you meet.

This is a reminder that we will be meeting this coming Sunday evening at 6 PM at our home in Matunuck. We will enjoy sitting/walking(outdoors)/sitting, I will give a short talk and guided practice, we will share the Dharma and enjoy each other! I hope you will be able to be with us.

I have been experiencing some significant computer and phone glitches. If you have been trying to reach me and have not received a reply, please try again. I think most everything is up and running. Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

This coming Saturday, August 17, is the third Saturday of the month and therefore, there will be an OI/Aspirant gathering at the Bell Street Chapel at 10:15. There will also be the regular meeting of the Radiant Bell Sangha prior to our meeting from 8-10 and you are welcome to join us for that. We will have a Recitation of the Fourteen Trainings, go over the aspirant process and share the Dharma. This meeting is open to Order members, Aspirants and anyone else who is interested to learn more about our practice. I hope you will be able to be with us.

For those of you able to be with Thay for the Blue Cliff Retreat at the end of the month, Kristen Morelli has been kind enough to offer to organize ride sharing. If you are interested, please contact her at kmorelli@cox.net

For those of you interested in attending the Peace Walk which Thay will lead in Boston on September 15, and are interested in ride sharing, Cindy has kindly offered to organize rides for that. You can contact her at westnest5@verizon.net

We have a great gift in the website...tnhaudio.org. Thay's talks from the summer retreat are available there. The sessions on questions and answers were especially wonderful. Enjoy!

Some said that the link that I sent last time to offer delight and water your seeds of joy, did not come through...so I shall try again!

with much love and a fresh summer breeze inspiring the pine trees to sing for you, Joanne
