7-8-13 Taming Tomorrow

The peace of a summer evening for you....
Interbeing with the beauty of all that is.....

If you are confused, there are a thousand differentiations, ten thousand distinctions.

If you are enlightened, everything is the same one family.

Jazz is really a wonderful example of the great characteristics of Buddhism and great characteristics of the human spirit. Because in jazz we share, we listen to each other, we respect each other, we are creating in the moment.

Dear Friends
I hope you are well and happy and enjoying your interdependence with everything and everyone.
We will be able to enjoy that  tomorrow evening at St. Matthew and Mark Church on Chapel Rd in West Barrington at 6:30. I hope you will be able to join us for sitting/walking/sitting, I will offer a short talk and we will share the Dharma and enjoy our interbeing. I understand that there was a wonderfully lively discussion at the last meeting. A deep bow to Toni and Shana for facilitating!
Remember, there will be a Transmission Ceremony for the Five Mindfulness Trainings on July 20 at the Bell Street Chapel in Providence at 10 AM. If you are interested in receiving the Transmission I have included the application form below. You can send it back via email or snail mail. If you have any questions about it, please contact me.
The Radiant Bell Sangha will be meeting prior to the Ceremony from 8-9:30 if you would like to come early and join them. They are also wanting to have a celebration following the transmission and are  looking for those who would be willing to bring tea, juice or sweet treats and are asking that if you are, you respond to Robert at rjrosa7@me.com, so they will have some idea of who is willing to help and what is being offered.
I know that not everyone was able to get tickets to see Thay in Boston or NYC…but there will be a Peace Walk in Boston on Sunday, Sept. 15 for which there will be no fee. It would be wonderful if some of us could attend. If you are interested in collecting the names of those attending, please let me know.
For those of you who are going to Thay’s Retreat at Blue Cliff…or just planning a visit to the monastery, they have now created a Ride Share Bulletin Board….if you are able to provide a ride or need one, check it out!  http://www.bluecliffrides.org/home/
Our friends from the Clear Path Sangha that meets at the Westminster Unitarian Church wanted to invite you all to an event they are sponsoring a workshop on storm preparedness….Hope for the Best, Prepare for the Worst…They have very good speakers and if you would like to take part….the  info is below.
