Winter Trees
All the complicated details
of the attiring and
the disattiring are completed!
A liquid moon
moves gently among
the long branches.
Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.

In winter
all the singing is in
the tops of the trees...

Dear Friends,

I hope you are well and happy and warm and cozy on this winter's night.
Clare had asked me to facilitate the first of the month meeting. It will be my first time back since January...again thank you all for all of your help!  Since this is the first week I have been out and my energy is still not what it might be,  I checked with those who take care of the UU meeting for the Sangha and they kindly agreed to do the necessary notifications so that we could meet at our home at 725 Matunuck School House Rd.  this Sunday evening at 6 PM instead of at the UU Church. That will be much easier for me. I hope this does not cause undo inconvenience for anyone. If you know of someone who does not get the emails, please let them know. We will have sitting/walking/and sitting meditation, I will give a short talk
and we will have a recitation of the Five Mindfulness Trainings. I hope that you will be able to be with us. It will be wonderful to be able to be with you again.
There will be a Generations Sangha gathering the second Saturday of each month. So on March 9 from 10-11:30 there will be a gathering at the Westminster Unitarian Church on Kenyon Ave in East Greenwich. Refreshments and fellowship follow from 11:30-12. This is a gathering for all ages. It's a lot of fun. If you are able to help with child care, please contact Kristen at kmorelli@cox.net,
There will be an OI/Aspirant gathering at the Bell Street Chapel on the Third Saturday of every month. The Radiant Bell Sangha has been kind enough to offer this space so we can have a regular place and time to meet. It is a wonderful opportunity for all those interested in deepening their practice to come together and get to know each other a bit better. This meeting is open to everyone who is an Order member, an Aspirant to become an Order member and all those interested in learning more about our practice. The meeting will be March 16 from 9:45-11:45 AM. This will be after the regular Sangha gathering of the Radiant Bell Sangha which meets from 8-9:30, which all are invited to attend.
There are going to be lots of possibilities for being together on Retreats this year. Thay will be in North America August and September. To find out more info and to register please go to tnhtour.org
The RI Community of Mindfulness is offering  another 5 day retreat at Camp Aldersgate in N. Scituate from May 17-21. If you would like to help with this retreat or get more information please contact Ann at goldmoore41@gmail.com. I hope that you will be able to attend. It is a wonderful opportunity to deepen our practice and be joyfully together!
In the meantime, I hope that you enjoy every moment of this crisp winter evening.
with much love and deep gratitude for all of you,
