I hope this finds you happy and healthy and transforming any of those barriers so that you can be in love! It looks like conditions will be sufficient for a gatheing to happen tomorrow evening. Our usual space is being used for a church function...so Shana and Ellen were kind enough to check out other parts of the church we might use and this comes from Shana....
The Mind Tamers will meet this coming Tuesday, Feb. 26 at St. Matthew's Church in West Barrington from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Don and Jim will facilitate. Please note that the Church will be using our usual meeting space that night, so we will meet in the Sanctuary. Directions: when you come in the usual door from the parking lot, turn left and go all the way down the hall, through the double doors. When you reach the end of the hall, turn left. The entrance to the Sanctuary is through the swinging doors.
Thank you to Shana and Ellen...I hope you will all be able to make it. It should be a lovely gathering.
I hope that you enjoyed the Winter Retreat teachings from Deer Park Monastery. They are all still posted, so if you missed them, they are still available for you. It has been wonderful to hear about all the ways people from all over have been benefiting from them. If you would like to access them, go to deerparkmonastery.org, click on "teachings" then click on "Ten Gates". Enjoy!
The RI Community of Mindfulness is planning another five day retreat at Camp Aldersgate in North Scituate for May 17-21. If you are interested in helping with the retreat, please contact Ann Moore at firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope you will be able to join us there. It is a wonderful opportunity to deepen our practice together.
I am also enclosing an announcement from the London Wake Up group about the U N International Day of Happiness on March 20th. There is a link to a lovely video. Let's share our happiness....Let's Celebrate! Bring any ideas you have to the Sangha!
Of course we don't have to wait...we can share our happiness now!
with much love, many hugs and the deep peace of a crisp winter night for you,
International Day of Happiness - March 20th - Lets do something together!
Dear Wake Up friends,
On June 28th 2012, the UN adopted the consensus of adopting March 20th as the International Day of Happiness.
I'd like to invite the entire global Wake Up community to do something to celebrate this day of happiness!
Wake Up London will be doing something along the lines of a meditation flash mob and/or displaying feel good, positive messages in public (see our promo video: https://vimeo.com/48799234). But you can all be creative and do what you feel like doing as a sangha - just as long as we're connected and doing something together for this day.
Who wants to join in and celebrate too? This would be a wonderful opportunity to unite together as a global community and promote the benefits of our practice to the world.

Happiness is here and now,

*After almost a week of shoveling every day. (I finally dug out the woodpile yesterday.) It was time to put those mounds of snow to good use. In honor of Valentine's Day a four foot tall heart, backlit with a solar powered l-e-d spot
Happy Valentine's Day to all.
