“The person who says something is impossible should not interrupt the person who is doing it.” — Chinese proverb
I hope you are all well and happy and enjoying these beautiful winter days .
It’s been a lovely start to the new year. We had a beautiful New Year Ceremony last Sunday and got better acquainted with our own and each other’s non-self elements. We also identified some places where we could begin again to transform our unskillful habits and be freer. Then we enjoyed a bell meditation and rang in the New Year with peaceful, loving people from all the different sanghas. This was all followed by the ripest fruits, the most delicious baked goods and the sweetest teas. It was a delight! Many thanks to all of you who co-created such a wonderful evening!
MIND TAMERS UPDATE There will be a gathering of the Mind Tamers this coming Tuesday at 6:30 at St. Matthew’s Church in West Barrington. Shana and Margaret will be facilitating and Ellen will accompany them on the bell. It should be a delightful evening in every way. I hope you will be able to be there.
Our dear friend Don is recuperating! The last I spoke with him he was feeling quite a bit better and would like to have visitors. It is best to call ahead as he has quite a full schedule with all kinds of PT, OT and doctors visits. His number is 401-556-2945. Please continue to send love his way.
CLEAR HEART UPDATE There will be a meeting tomorrow evening at Carol Robinson’s home..directions below. For this meeting, we are using the book Anger as the ground for our discussions. It has generated lots of interesting conversations and sharing. Tomorrow, Eva will be facilitating and the focus will be on the third chapter, “The Language of True Love”. I hope you will be able to come. PLEASE NOTE... for future reference, this 2nd Sunday meeting will be canceled whenever there is ice and snow as Carol has assured us that it is fairly treacherous in those conditions. Considering that it was in the 60’s today, we’re probably safe for tomorrow!
GENERATIONS SANGHA The Generations Sangha will meet next Saturday, the 14th, atWestminster Unitarian Church on Kenyon Ave. in East Greenwich, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. This meeting happens every second Saturday of the month. It has been wonderful to come together to practice with people of all ages. It is a special delight to practice with the children. I hope you will be able to join us.
ASPIRANTS MEETING There will be a half day of mindfulness for Order members and aspirants and anyone else who is interested in finding out more about our practice on Saturday, Jan, 21 from 10:30 to 1:30.
