Being Peace

We will come together on September 11 and September 13 to be peace, practice transforming our unskillful states of mind and experience interbeing with all that is. By doing this we will contribute the energy of love, compassion and understanding to the collective consciousness. Please join us.

Dear Friends,

I hope you are well and happy and enjoying this beautiful fresh evening.

This is just a reminder that lots of wonderful opportunities to practice together and enjoy each others company are coming up.

We will have our Second Sunday Sangha meeting Sunday evening at 6 p.m. at Carol Robinson’s home. A beautiful spot right on the water in the Harbor Island section of Narragansett. A deep bow to Carol for her generosity. Her address is 10 Wheatfield Cove Rd., Narragansett, RI 02882. See below for directions. We will enjoy sitting, walking and sitting, and a dharma sharing based on further readings from “Joyfully Together” facilitated by Eva. I hope you will be able to be with us. Directions are below to a truly beautiful spot to practice together and be peace. One of the most powerful antidotes to the horror of 9/11 is to use our practice to look deeply at the suffering in order to understand the causes so that we will have the clarity to take right action and not repeat the mistakes of the past.

Please also remember to join us for the Peace Walk on Saturday, September 24th. We will meet at the WaterPlace Park Basin at 6:30 p.m. and practice Silent Walking Meditation to Memorial Park. To be able to practice Silent Walking Meditation and come together to be peace will be wonderful. The lack of awareness of our state of interbeing has caused so much suffering in our country and the world. This is a great opportunity for us to come together to take a stand....as well as mindful steps.....for peace! I hope you will be able to be with us.

On Saturday, October 1, at 12 noon the Mind Tamers are hosting their annual picnic...and we are all invited! All of the info is on the calendar page. I hope you will come with your family and friends and songs, stories, games, etc, to share. It is always wonderful!

Thay will be offering a Public Talk and Day of Mindfulness in NYC on Oct 14-15....and a DOM at Blue Cliff on Oct 16. For all of the info, please go to tnhtour.org

If anyone is going to the Blue Cliff Retreat and is interested in car pooling please contact Ann at goldmoore41@gmail.com.

May all beings be happy, healthy, fearless and peace and May all beings awaken to our state of interbeing.

with much love, many hugs and the joy of a freshly washed evening for you, Joanne
