I don’t do great things. I do small things with great love. —Mother Theresa
I hope you are all well and happy and enjoying this lovely evening and doing small things with great love.
We just returned from our trip to the Vancouver Retreat with Thay. It was wonderful to see him doing so well and giving very good talks. (I think they are available at PVOM.org. ) However, we were pretty much completely out of touch with phones and computers…so my apologies if I have not gotten back to you yet. I was hoping to get caught up today, but my computer was not cooperating...I just got it up and running…and it is late…so this will be brief.
I just wanted to remind you that we will be meeting tomorrow evening at 6:30 PM at St. Matthew’s Church in West Barrington. I hope that you will be able to be with us. We will have the opportunity to stop and enjoy each other. We will sit, walk and sit. I will give a short talk about some of the things that I learned on our trip and we will enjoy some Dharma sharing. I hope you will be able to be with us.
Please put Saturday, September 24th on your calendar. There will be a Silent Walking Meditation to begin Waterfire that evening…to commemorate the International Day of Peace. We will meet at the Basin at 6:30 and begin the walk by 7:30. Please come and bring your friends. We can make a powerful statement by being peace together!
In the meantime, please remember to rest in the awareness that all any of us has is the present moment…enjoy it!
with much love and the sweet summer lullaby of the cicadas for you, Joanne
