“We need to practice meditation gently, but steadily, throughout daily life, not wasting a single opportunity or event to see deeply into the true nature of life, including our everyday problems. Practicing in this way, we dwell in profound communion with life.”
—Thich Nhat Hanh from Peace is Every Step

The Knots Prayer
Please untie the knots That are in my mind, My heart and my life.
Remove the have nots, The can nots and the do nots That I have in my mind,
Erase the will nots, May nots and might nots That may find a home in my heart.
Release me from the could nots, Would nots and should nots That obstruct my life.
And most of all I ask that you remove from my mind, My heart and my life
All of the “am nots” That I have allowed to hold me back, Especially the thought That I am not good enough.

I hope you are all well and happy, enjoying this rainy evening and untying your knots as well as your nots!
This is just a reminder that we will be gathering at our home tomorrow evening at 6 PM. We will have sitting/walking(outdoors - weather permitting) a short talk about mindful consumption in honor of the Springtime and Earth Day and enjoy a Dharma sharing. I hope you will be able to be with us.
We are also making a prayer request. ...our own Bruce Nichol’s daughter, Krystal, has a very rare neurological disorder and will be hospitalized in NYC for at least the next couple weeks. She is the mother of two young children. Please keep Bruce, Krystal and their family in your prayers and meditations. You can send some love to Bruce at firstname.lastname@example.org. or Bruce Nichols, 315 Leavenworth Road, Shelton, CT 06484
